History Behind Famous Ghanaian Meal, ‘Gob3’ And Its Original Name Revealed

The popular local Ghanaian meal is one that is enjoyed by all classes of people in the society, rich, middle class and even the poor.

Whether taken in the morning, afternoon or evening, every joint that sells ‘Gob3’ is most likely to be overcrowded anytime it begins operation.

The slang “Gob3” as explained by some sections of the public is an abbreviation which can be broken down as Gari, Oil, Beans, Egg.

As popular as the slang is getting, some sections of the Ga community with the change of name from its original name “Yo Ke Gari” which means Gari and Beans or ‘tatale’.
