Argentine attacker and captain of the Argentinian national team, Lionel Messi has scored his fastest career goal as Argentina comfortably beat Australia in a friendly in Beijing.

The 35-year Argentinian international broke the deadlock after one minute and nineteen seconds, curling a finish into the top left corner right from the edge of the penalty box.

After Messi’s early lead, substitute German Pezzella doubled the world champions lead with a beautiful header during the 68th minute of the second half.

Australia’s Mitch Duke had a first half effort pushed onto the post by Aston Villa shot-stopper Emiliano Martinez.

However, Argentina always appeared comfortable in Lionel Messi’s first match since agreeing to join American top-class club Inter Miami.
