Ghana’s Highlife Music Identity Not Commercial Enough – Ball J

Albert Serebo popularly known as Ball J, has lamented how Ghana has failed in commercializing highlife music.

According to the renowned music producer, although the highlife genre has been accepted as a Ghanaian genre, the most difficult thing is how to make the genre enter the Grammys.

He suggested that musicians need to either redefine the Highlife genre or introduce a new genre of music.

Ball J recent suggestion comes on the back of claims Ghanaian music has no genre that is internationally recognized as its own.
