Our Players Have Put Morroco Defeat Behind Them Ahead Of Guinea Clash – Deputy Sports Minister Affirms



In regards to Black Meteors’ heartbreaking defeat against Morocco in the 2023 AFCON, the resilient players of the Ghanaian national U-23 team has shown an irreversible determination to bounce back as they diverge their focus to the crucial upcoming clash against Guinea.
Highlighting on the team’s undying spirit to succeed, the Deputy Minister of Sports stated emphatically that, the players have put their previous setback firmly behind them, and are poised to rise from the ashes and seize victory in this pivotal encounter which is most likely to help the team move a step closer to the upcoming Olympic Games.
The game against Guinea will be staged at the Grand Stade Tanger this evening at 8:00 GMT.
Speaking on Accra-based Peace Fm, the Deputy Sports Minister said the country is extremely desperate for a cup because inferring from the records of national team since 1982, everybody knows Ghana has not been able to win a trophy in terms of our football.
He added that moving to considering the outcome of the national team’s football games since the under-20 won the World Cup in Egypt, he believes it is time because the Black Stars haven’t been able to win the World Cup.
He reiterated that, Ghana’s U-20 team’s last participation was 2004 and since then they’ve not been able to qualify hence everybody is hoping the U-23 AFCON tournament in Rabat, Morocco goes well.
