Charles Taylor Takes A Subtle Dig At Asante Kotoko Goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim After Unimpressive U-23 AFCON Performance

Former Ghanaian winger and Hearts of Oak legend, Charles Taylor has expressed doubts about the goalkeeping abilities of Asante Kotoko shot-stopper, Danlad Ibrahim.

This comes after the Asante Kotoko goalkeeper conceded eight goals in three matches during the ongoing 2023 U23 Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco.

After observing Ghana’s performance in the ongoing continental football competition where the Black Meteors were eliminated after the group stage level, with a 3-2 win over Congo, a 5-1 defeat to Morocco, and a 1-1 draw against Guinea, Charles Taylor, who also played for the Black Stars and was a part of the Ghanaian squad at the 2023 CHAN tournament, took a dig at Danlad Ibrahim, who was the first choice goalkeeper for the team.

He questioned the perception that Danlad is considered the best goalkeeper and most sought for the ssid position, pointing to the eight goals conceded during the tournament as clear evidence that there may be low level of seriousness in evaluating talent in the team.
