While Nigerians Are Staging Shows In Stadia, We’re Struggling To Fill Pubs – Ras Kuuku Fumes

Famous Ghanaian Reggae dancehall musician, Ras Kuuku has explained why Nigerian musicians are making great strides globally as compared to Ghanaian musicians.
Speaking on Cape Coast-based Property FM with Amansan Krakye, the “Puom” hitmaker said the plugs that the Nigerian artistes have isn’t like what we have in Ghana.
He stated, as for songs, each and every African music fraternity is doing its part and shooting music videos but the most important thing is how to push the craft to ensure it gets the needed exposure.
Moving forward, he recounted how a promoter told him in New York that Ghanaian artistes don’t come together to stage shows there but quickly added there are collaborations among the Nigerians.
He asserted that, in the case of Ghanaian artists, the individualism is too much so some artistes from Ghana who stage shows abroad face a lot of disappointment when they get there.
However, he believes the new Crop of musicians are equally learning especially the young ones so he would advise the focus on the strength they have in the numbers rather than going in singles.
