I’ll Not Advise Any Ghanaian In Diaspora To Waste Time Relocating To Ghana – Benjamin Kofi Quashie

Mr. Benjamin Kofi Quashie, South African National Democratic Congress Council of Elders Chairman and the Group Chairman for Allied Consortiums has categorically asserted that he would not advise any Ghanaian to take the decision of permanently returning to Ghana.

According to Mr. Quashie, doing this would only lead to a disservice and an injustice on his part.

Speaking in a recent interview on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Ho a Daben’ show, he indicated that the Ghanaian system is unfair to people in the diaspora.

He reiterated that, the system in Ghana takes with one hand and uses the other to persecute same people it took from.

Adding to this, he said looking at the foreign direct investments that come into the country, there is a clear indication Ghana can accept the foreign direct investments from people living in diaspora but, when it comes to protecting these same people, then the have a problem sets in.

Mr. Quashie described such an action from state as hypocritical and unfriendly to the citizens in the diaspora.

From his point of view, the 1992 constitution distinguishes between being a citizen and naturalizing as one.

However, as we speak, it appears because the NDC is at the receiving end of the law, its explication has been skewed in his estimation.
