Osman Bukari Earns Serbian Citizenship

Osman Bukari Earns Serbian Citizenship
Salient Black Stars winger Osman Bukari, who is currently with Red Star Belgrade has been granted citizenship by the Serbian government.
Following his switch from Belgium side KAA Gent to Serbia last summer, the Ghanaian winger has become a star for both club and country side.
The recently acquired citizenship will give his club, Red Star Belgrade, the chance to register other foreign nationals since the Ghanaian international will now be considered a homegrown player.
The official presentation of Bukari’s Serbian passport is scheduled to come on when Red Star Belgrade returns from pre-season activities in Russia.
Though Bukari will not change his nationality to play for Serbia, this passport acquisition indicates he will no longer be considered a foreign player at his current club.
The former Accra Lions attacker joined the Red Star Belgrade on June 21, 2022, in a €3 million deal and is set to stay with the club for sometime before eventually taking a decision on leaving or staying with the club.
