Ghana’s most decorated rapper, Sarkodie has revealed that he did not seek the approval or consent of his team before releasing his recent diss track, ‘Try Me’, a song considered a response to Ghanaian actress’ memoir, “I AM NOT YVONNE NELSON”

In a recent interview with Angela Yee on US-based Power 105.1 FM, Sarkodie revealed that the fabrication of the said diss track was a personal affair.

The track, which sparked controversy and attracted attention from both fans and the industry players, was a result of Sarkodie’s personal feelings and emotions towards the disclosure made by Yvonne Nelson in her memoire.

He reiterated that his team had no idea of the track’s emergence as he was on tour when he felt the need to express his emotions through music.

In a moment of inspiration, the rapper to a personal decision to write the lyrics and sneaked into the studio to record the track, consciously avoiding outside advice or influence.
