I Wash Cars For Survival Whenever I Travel Abroad – Patapaa Reveals

Iconic Ghanaian musician and entertainer Patapaa has stated that whenever he travels outside of Ghana, he works as a car washer since it pays more than being a music celebrity in his native country.

The host of the recent interview he was guest on, Nana Romeo, spread the myth that when Patapaa travels abroad, he does menial jobs like washing cars.

He alleged that the musician’s manager complains about the high level of sleep he gets, but his response is always the same: “I rise only to go play a programme.”

Patapaa went on to say that people who wash cars in America, the UK, or Germany, had it better, both in terms of money and life in general as compared to musicians in Ghana.

He lamented that, when people see other colleagues abroad, they think they’re superior to them and he challenged people to travel and see.

Patapaa reiterated that those abroad even get upset when you mention music because they are aware the amount of money they would make in seconds, is more than a week, two weeks, or a month’s worth of an artiste’s work here in Ghana.
