My ‘Try Me’ Response To Yvonne Nelson Was Leaked – Sarkodie

Award-winning Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has revealed that his “Try Me” response to Yvonne Nelson’s abortion allegation was leaked.

Speaking in a recent interview with Angela Yee on the Way Up Show in the United States, the Tema-based rapper said he initially recorded the track as a personal response to Yvonne Nelson’s memoir, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson” with the motive of keeping it private, so he did it just to hold on to it and see if he is going to release it as time goes on.

However, when it came out, he eventually decided to just put it out.

He narrated that where he was, it was very late, around 2:00 am, and then he saw Twitter going crazy over the song.

Sarkodie stated that he had no idea because he didn’t give it to anybody although he had like 2 to 3 people who had heard.

He went on to state that eventhough he knows the leaking of the diss track could have been done by any of these  people, he doesn’t want to suspect them because it’s going to create some energy.

Speaking on why he dropped the song, the rapper stated emphatically that the track was leaked, and he had no option but to release it, adding that he sneaked into the studio to record it because he didn’t want to hear any advice or be influenced by anyone to record and drop it.
