Popular Ghanaian actor, Clement Bonney known in the entertainment industry as Mr. Beautiful has claimed to be the one who introduced celebrity political endorsement in Ghana.

Clarifying his role as a promoter of the NDC in 2012, Mr. Beautiful said there’s politics in everything that we do as humans in this life and even in our various homes, there is politics there.

Emphasizing on his claim, he stated emphatically that he was the one who introduced celebrity political endorsement in Ghana, and that was way back 2012 when he set the pace for others to follow.

He reiterated that, when he set the pace other movie makers in the kumawood movie industry, people insulted him and even denied him of movie roles by sidelining him.

He further stated that, a lot of critics and industry players did a lot against him but later they realized what he did was the right thing, and in 2016 the likes of Agya Koo, Matilda Asare and Daddy Lumba all joined in campaigning for political parties but it was him (Mr Beautiful) who brought that thing into the country’s entertainment center.
