I Didn’t Release ‘I Lied’ For Jams, It’s Just An Honest Song – KIDI



Award-winning Ghanaian highlife musician, KiDi has shed light on the aim and intention behind his recently released hit song titled “I Lied” as he clarified that it was not released purposely for entertainment.

He stated that divergent to what fans think its release denotes, the song holds a deeper, more personal meaning for him as an artist.

In a recent interview on Accra-based Y FM’s “Dryve of Your Lyfe,” the “Say Cheese” hitmaker described his recently released song, ‘I Lied’, as an honest song, highlighting his personal emotions and struggles.

He revealed that the lyrics to the song, speak of not deceiving others but admitting that he failed to tell the truth about his well-being by claiming to be okay when he actually wasn’t.

He reiterated that the essence of the recently released tune revolves around this internal conflict and the desire to be honest despite putting on a façade.

KiDi further emphasized that the song aimed to connect with his fans on a deeper level, resonating with them emotionally and psychologically.

The Lynx Entertainment signee further explained that the song’s honesty and relatability were of high priority and as such, he had a different approach to its promotion.
