Amerado And I Are Still Not Equal Eventhough We’ve Both Won VGMA Best Rapper Award – Lyrical Joe

Despite the fact that both Amerado and Lyrical Joe have been privileged to win the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ( VGMAs) best rapper award, the latter opined that their artistic paths are yet to interject onto the same plane.

Lyrical Joe explained that even though his colleague rapper, Amerado has won the same award he (lyrical) was recognized to have won a year ago,  they are still not equal as far as music royalty is concerned.

Speaking in a recent interview with Ameyaw Tv’s Zeinat Issahaku, the rapper stated that, though he agrees they are both award-winning rappers, he doesn’t agree with the fact that they equalwhen it comes to rap prowess.

It will be recalled that the two top-class Ghanaian rappers, somewhere in 2022 traded some diss songs to entertain music lovers, especially rap fans.

Prior to this recent lyrical battle, Lyrical Joe had been given the award for the Best Rap Performance category at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), an award ceremony that some disappointed fans expected Amerado to win based on the fact that he had also picked up the same award at the 2022 3Music Awards, and was looking forward to winning it at the VGMAs to top it up for that particular year.

Obviously, Amerado’s lyrical jab didn’t sit well with Lyrical Joe, so he quickly retaliated with a freestyle to balance the atmosphere.
