No Ghanaian Artist Can Compare His/Herself To Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, Not Even Me – Shatta Wale Admits

Self-acclaimed dancehall King, Shatta Wale has stated unequivocally that no Ghanaian artiste, including himself can compare to the current status of Nigerian musicians like Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid.
According to the award-winning dancehall musician, the trajectory of these Nigerian musicians have, is as a result of the amazing support they receive from their kinsmen.
The musician’s recent disclosure was in response to a question posed to him on weekly entertainment show, SHOWBIZ TODAY on Takoradi-based Empire FM, in line with his rants targeted at some media personalities in the country.
Per his explanation, no single artiste including him, can compare themselves to the likes of Davido, Burna Boy and Wizkid, simply because Ghanaian music lovers don’t want the growth of their artistes.
He further disclosed that such situations retard the entertainment industry as such, his future plans involve identifying emerging talents and offering them guidance so they can have a better understanding about the music business in Ghana.
Shatta further explained that, this initiative is specifically designed to prevent them from repeating the same mistakes that some of them made in order to avoid the repercussions they have experienced.
