You Make Sarkodie Feel Big When You Compare Me To Him – Shatta Wale Fumes

Ghanaian dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, has cautioned fans against comparing him to award-winning rapper Sarkodie, as it might uphold Sarkodie’s ego.
Shatta’s recent precautionary comments are in reaction to Ola Michael’s disapproval of him being awarded a diplomatic passport due to his ‘ill conduct’ on social media on UTV’s United Showbiz show last weekend.
According to Shatta, Ola Michael could have drawn comparisons between him and Samini, who he feels is on a similar level as his, rather than comparing him to the Tema-based rapper.
Explaining further on his point of view, Shatta mentioned that during the time his music was making waves with his hit track “Bandana,” neither Sark nor Stonebwoy were recognized in the Ghanaian music industry.
He stated that the moment Ghanaians begin to compare him to Sarkodie, then they make the rapper feel big.
Shatta added that, whenever he speaks to Sark, it appears as if he wants to rub shoulders with him.
He fumed saying that where he has been as an artist, he (Sarkodie) has never been there before.
Shatta averred that people, especially Ghanaian music lovers make it appear as if Sarkodie is bigger than him.
Explaining further, he stated emphatically that, that is far from the truth as far as he is concerned because Sarkodie can never be bigger than him in his life.

Citing an example to back his sentiments, he stated that some parents have first born and second born, adding that the second born can never be bigger than the firstborn.
Bringing it back to comparisons between Sarkodie and himself, he made it clear that he is not saying Sarkodie is not successful.
However, the Tema-based rapper doesn’t have the kind of mindset that he has.
While speaking in an interview on Empire FM, he stated emphatically that the rapper is doing his own stuff.
The “My Level” hitmaker also wondered why he is usually targeted by critics when his other colleagues are as imperfect as he is.
According to the award-winning dancehall musician, he has been labeled as the ‘king of controversies’ when the likes of Stonebwoy and Sarkodie have been involved in more damning scandals than him.
