Popular Ghanaian content creator, Wode Maya has described how Kantanka caused him to be imprisoned and pushed him to sponsor the funeral of a Ghanaian man who was accidentally slain by a member of his team.

According to the widely acknowledged Ghanaian content creator, Kantanka upsets him, and he thinks Ghanaians only give you the needed backing when you succeed in life.

He stated emphatically that, anytime he hears Kantanka, he definitely becomes sad because there is more to the story.

“I think I need to copyright this quote saying ‘Africans don’t support the dream. They only support you when you’re successful,” he stated.

“It feels good when you’re doing something and your people support you, but it doesn’t come out that way” he continued.

In a recent interview with Helen Appiah-Ampofo on TV3’s Twitter page, the vlogger recounts the experience he had when he reached out to Kantanka to offer them a free promotion since he is a strong advocate for ‘Made In Ghana’ products.
