I Stopped Promoting My Song After The Death Of My Baby Mama – Guru Reveals

Super talented Ghanaian rapper, Guru NKZ popularly known as Guru has revealed that he personally decided to take a break from promoting his new song last year after his baby mama died of breast cancer.

The Ghanaian rapper, whose actual name is Maradona Yeboah Adjei, said in a recent interview with GhanaWeekend that he was devastated by the loss of his baby mama and needed time to grieve over her death.

He added that he also had to travel to Australia to be with his baby mama’s family for the funeral.

The CEO of NKZ Music explained that he was initially reluctant to release his new song, “Can’t Touch This,” but he eventually decided to release the song in honour of his late baby mama.

The song, which was produced by Dob Music, is Guru’s first song of the year, 2023. The rapper further stressed that he is now happy to promote his new song and tour around the world.

Adding to this, he said that he is also grateful for the support of his fans during this difficult time.

Guru’s late baby mama, with whom he has a 10-year-old daughter with, died last year in August.
