Gospel musician, Gifty Adorye popularly known as Empress Gifty has finally opened up about how she went from being a common house help to becoming a recognized figure in Ghana’s music industry.

Now famous for her soul-touching tunes, the gospel musician spoke about her early days when she was only helping out at her mum’s friend’s house.

According to Empress Gifty, she had the passion and a strong love for music, but it didn’t tally with the demands of her job.

The singer further explained that her need to go for music rehearsals clashed with what she was expected to do at home.

In a recent interview with host Andy Dosty, she said music was in he blood, but her duties at the house made it very difficult.

Narrating further, he said the lady he was helping didn’t understand his dedication to her music dreams.

Looking back at that point of transformation, Empress Gifty took the bold decision to leave her house help job behind because she wanted to fully embrace her music dreams and also explore the exciting world of fashion.

With her mother’s unwavering support, Empress moved from helping at home to working together her mum at the market, which gave her the opportunity to follow her passion for fashion.
