Getting New School Artists To Feature Is Very Difficult – Mzbel Reveals

Celebrated Ghanaian music diva, Mzbel has revealed that it is very difficult to get the new crop of Ghanaian musicians to feature in a song even though she gets requests on collaboration.

She reiterated that during the time of the request for collaborations from other musicians, she was heavily pregnant so she had to explain her situation to them and also spoke about artists she had collaborations with.

Shedding more light on her inability to do features while she was pregnant, she stated that she needed rest so she couldn’t work at that time.

According to her, she gets requests for features all the time but she hasn’t really collaborated with any musician apart from Castro.

She stressed that she was very comfortable around him, adding that apart from Castro, she also has a very good relationship with Skrewface and Shilo.

Furthermore, she said she had tried reaching out to other musicians but haven’t got any.

The “16 years” crooner recalled in the past when she wanted to feature Kwabena Kwabena on her song ‘Awoso Me’ remix.

However, Kwabena Kwabena gave her an excuse, adding that she was astonished when he released a song which was in line with hers.

Explaining further, Mzbel stated that it is really hard getting the new artists on board because they agree to collaborate with her and eventually refuse to even pick up her calls after the agreement.

She explained that the reasons and excuses they give are not tangible because she can talk to them and they will accept to do the collaboration but when she calls on a later date, other people pick up the calls and toss her.
