He reiterated that, an artiste that is being managed by Sony Music and a different artiste in Ghana who has established his or her own record label cannot engage in any form of competition.

Explaining further, he said because Sony Music has got a lot of plugs and the efforts of one man alone cannot enable them get such plugs as an independent artiste with their own record label.

During a recent interview with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast-based Property FM, the singer said Ghanaian mainstream artistes must allow themselves to be signed on international record labels rather than the local ones.

“It’s about time that our mainstream artistes allow themselves to be signed by the big record labels so that they can also occupy that can kind of range” he continued.

“So that it can lift our Ghanaian music industry to get forward like what the Nigerian artistes are currently doing across Europe and America” he further explained.
