My Mum Wanted To Disown Me When I Ventured Into Music – Kisa Gbekle

Iconic Ghanaian actress and musician, Kisa Gbekle has come out to reveal how her mother almost disowned over her decision to venture into music.

In a recent interview with Fiifi Prat on Kingdom Fm, Kisa Gbekle stated that her mother wasn’t in support of the fact that she wore bikini for her music videos.

According to Kisa Gbekle, her mother constantly frowned on her music career because it made her look immoral.

She further stated that her mom threatened to disown hee if she ever saw her wearing bikini in my music videos.

Per her narration, her mum asked her to wear full clothes or quit music, but divergent to the warning she was given, she began wearing bikini because she was told that she needed to show a bit of skin if she wanted her music to sell.

Recently, Kisa Gbekle released her first single titled “Korkor”, and after its release, it received numerous mixed reaction on social media.

While some people commended her for taking the bold step to venture into music, others feel she should stick to acting.

Anyway, she has decided to take things more serious and in relation to this fact, she jas taken to her Instagram page to drop a challenge for the song which was created by popular Ghanaian dancer, Incredible Zigi.
