Iconic Ghanaian dancehall musician, Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known by his stage name Stonebwoy,  has finally explained the inspiration behind his famous “BHIM” title that he frequently uses in his songs.

In a recent interview with Universal Music Canada, the “Putu” singer revealed that the “BHIM” he usually makes mention of in his songs, is a sound that is intended to awaken one’s spirit.

Adding to this, Stonebwoy claimed that the term “BHIM” also works as an inspiration for him, awakening him and giving him the zeal he needs to carry out his daily duties peacefully.

The BHIM president is a term that is frequently used to allude to dancehall superstar Stonebwoy.

This is based on the fact that his massive fan base is widely recognized as BHIM Nation in entirety.

Explaining further, Stonebwoy said that despite the fact that the “BHIM” signature he uses has been around for a while, not many people are aware of what it actually implies.

According to the award-winning dancehall artist, the popular abbreviation “BHIM” stands for “Bless His Imperial Majesty.”
