Transfer Updates: PSG Looking Forward To Renewing Contract With Kylian Mbappé, Real Madrid Set Out Terms

For once, French attacker Kylian Mbappe is not making headlines this summer.

In line with his return to action with Paris Saint-Germain, tensions appear to have witnessed a massive downturn in France, while Real Madrid remain coy on the idea of getting him to sign a contract with them.

It appears as if he will most certainly be a PSG player until at least next summer, when his contract with the French League 1 club finally expires, despite one report to the contrary.

Meanwhile, FootMercato has made claims with indications Kylian Mbappe is close to signing a new three-year deal with PSG, to extend his stay with the club, keeping him under contract until 2026, but one that includes a gentleman’s agreement that would give him the chance to leave for an agreed fee next summer.

Sporting Advisor Luis Campos has been heavily involved in this particular deal,

However, if indeed, that is the case, it would likely rule him out of a move to Los Blancos, if reports trooping in from the Spanish League news is worth believing.

Marca has stated that in order for Real Madrid to get Mbappé’s signature, the French international must not sign a renewal contract with PSG, and  in addition, he must present himself on the second of January willing to sign a precontract with the Spanish league giants, when they are permitted to talk to him directly.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid is not ready to pay a fee for Mbappe and it is quite certain that if Mbappe will not consent to to the conditions laid out by the Spanish club, then it is essential that they turn their attentions elsewhere.

The PSG striker caused widespread embarrassment last summer after he rejected Madrid, who had briefed that he would be joining them very soon prior to their discussion with him behind closed doors.

Making a move on signing Kylian Mbappe again would set a power dynamic, with the PSG striker clearly in charge if he were to join.
