Just In: Chris Houghton Names Final 25-Man Squad To Face Central African Republic

Black Stars Head Coach, Chris Houghton has named Ghana’s final squad to face at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their last group game of the 2023 AfCON qualifiers.

The current Black Stars coach named Lawrence Ati Zigi, Richard Ofori and Abdul Manaf Nurudeen as the three goalkeepers for the upcoming encounter.

Defenders shortlisted for the upcoming qualifiers include Kingsley Schindler, Alidu Seidu, Joseph Aidoo, Alexander Djiku, Nicholas Opoku, Gideon Mensah and Abdul Baba Rahman.

In addition to this, the midfielders who were included in the squad include the likes of Mohammed Kudus, Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer, Edmund Addo, Baba Iddrisu, Andre Dede Ayew, Elisha Owusu and Abdul Samed Salis.

On the attacking front, Jordan Ayew, Antoine Semenyo, Joseph Paintsil, Inaki Williams, Jonathan Sowah, Osman Bukari and Ernest Nuamah are expected to be selected from the lots, to be included in the final eleven man squad list that will be released ahead of the game on Thursday, 7 September, 2023.
