Blame Yourselves And Not Critics For Disunity In The Industry – Arnold Baidoo To Musicians

Popular Ghanaian entertainment critic Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has stated that it’s high time Ghanaian musicians stop blaming critics for disunity in their industry.

He reiterated that artistes are to be blamed for the downgrade that exists in the industry which is dwindling their growth.

The entertainment critic premised his argument on Shatta’s recent attacks on colleague dancehall musician, Stonebwoy for agreeing to be a curtain raiser for a recent show that featured Nigerian musicians including Burna Boy, and Wizkid, among others.

According to Arnold, he sees nothing wrong with an artiste being a curtain-raiser for an event because they are paid for the purpose.

“One moment they say we are not united and that Nigerians are united and they are progressing. The next moment you are causing a rift all because of Stonebwoy. You preach unity and then go on to create problems, and when we talk about it, you say we, the critics, are the problem,” he said while making a submission on Accra-based UTV.
