“Nobody Owes Me Credit” – Olamide

Award-winning Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter and record executive Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide, has stated that is grateful to God for his successes.
Recognized for the successes of top-clas Nigerian music celebrities like Asake, Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh and Fireboy DML others, Olamide has made it clear that no one owes him any credit.
In an exclusive interview, the multiple hitmaker disclosed that, he took the  decision to sign new artists to his record label, YBNL, because he had lots of money at the time and had no idea of what to do with it.
“I just started stacking up money and the money was becoming too much for me. I was like yo, I don’t have anything to do with this money. I need to sign new guys. Let me spend money on people,” Olamide stated.
When asked if he thinks he is credited enough for all that he has done as an musician and a record label executive, the celebrated musician replied saying, nobody Owes him any credit.
According to him, he feels the most important thing in life for a man is for him to know what he is doing and why he is doing it.
He further stated that all he really cares about right now is just achieving his dreams, and once he is able to achieve about 99% of the things on his to-do list, he doesn’t need to bother about what people think about him because honestly, nobody owes anyone anything.
