“I Challenge Him To Undertake A 2-Hour Live Performance” – Vida Adutwumwaa Dares Shatta Wale

Ghanaian female entertainment pundit, Vida Adutwumwaa has thrown a massive challenge to award-winning Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale, daring him to undertake a two-hour live performance.

Vida criticizes Shatta’s artistic approach, characterizing it as clearly miming to his songs.

In response to Shatta Wale’s recent attack on colleague dancehall artist Stonebwoy, where he referred to the latter as a “curtain raiser,” Ms. Adutwumwaa has voiced her displeasure with Shatta Wale’s tendency to engage in irrelevant and disparaging conversations about his fellow musicians.

In a recent discussion on UTV’s Showbiz Night progra, she asserted that Shatta Wale’s shallow mindset and behavior are hindrances to his artistic progress and development.

Comparing Shatta’s performances to those of Stonebwoy, Ms. Vida suggests that Stonebwoy, whom Shatta Wale belittles, has consistently improved upon his craft and live performances over the years, unlike Shatta, who always relies on miming and backing songs.

Ms. Adutwumwaa believes that the SM Movement frontliner has lost sight of his role as an artist and instead gets himself involved in unnecessary arguments on social media, focusing on irrelevant criticisms and undermining the hard work of fellow musicians.

She also references Stonebwoy’s response to recent comparisons between Ghanaian and Nigerian musicians, emphasizing that Stonebwoy is not discouraged by the numerous pressure but rather sees it as motivation to propel his growth.

Ms. Adutwumwaa posited that Stonebwoy is also capable of achieving success on international stages just like artists such as Davido.

However, the lack of proper support and infrastructure in Ghana’s music industry hinders this progress and the ability of Ghanaian musicians achieving such feat.
