Ghanaian female television show host, Mona Gucci has clapped back at U.S-based Ghanaian influencer Naana Donkor over her recent criticisms on Ghanaian musicians.

Recently, Naana Donkor came out to address the problems of Ghanaian musicians and why they are unsuccessful at organising shows outside the country.

Naana Donkor stated that Ghanaian artists do not like promoting their shows and other events abroad.

She further revealed that Ghanaian musicians invest more in renting venues, airline tickets, hotels and others but fail to put in more efforts in promoting or marketing the show.

According to her, they are of the assertion their popularity should sell the show but in actual fact, they are not well recognized abroad.

Naana Donkor made this disclosure  after highlife singer, Fameye fumed on TV3 that they don’t get the needed support from Ghanaians abroad during their shows.

Fameye asserted that unlike their Nigerian colleagues whose fans prepare and book appointments to attend their shows, Ghanaians do not get that support.

In reaction to this issue, Mona Gucci has taken a swipe at Naana Donkor.

Mona Gucci claims nobody made Naana Donkor a picture so she shouldn’t be talking about issues pertaining to artist and brand promotion.

She posited that the majority of Naana Donkor’s fans are based in Ghana so there’s no need for musicians to contact her for their promotions.

Meanwhile, Naana Donkor has numerous social media pages with over 1 million Facebook pages, and checking from the records, she has been promoting events in the U.S for years.
