Netizens are bashing Wanlov da Kubolor for being a problem in Ghana after the latter heaped praises on sakawa boys aka fraud boys in an interview.
In a recent interview with Nkonkonsa, Wanlov told the interviewer that the only sensible people in Ghana right now are fraudsters who steal from ‘the West’.
The “Gimme Pinch” crooner compared the sakawa boys to Ghanaian politicians who steal directly from Ghanaian citizens while asserting that politicians are the real criminals.
According to Wanlov, Sakawa boys at least are stealing from foreigners but Ghanaian politicians steal directly from their own people.
Clearly, his comments didn’t sit well with social media users who lambasted him for defending a criminal act like fraud.
These displeased fans correctly pointed out that sakawa boys steal from random individuals and not Western governments as the ‘FOKN Bois’ artist may have implied.
“Smh. The logic we use to justify one evil because it looks better than another evil. But when u go deep u realise its weak. Stealing from an individual in the west doesnt equate to stealing from the west. You have probably stolen from another person’s family fortune and probably affected an innocent child there,” one fan wrote on his Twitter handle in response to Wanlov’s disclosure.
“What sense at all can someone who doesn’t put on footwear, wear underwear and has shown his nakedness on national television say. Gyimi na dorso,” another wrote.
To further chatise the rapper for the comment made, a fan even managed to rope in his sister, Deborah Vanessa popularly known as Sister Derby, into the conversation.
“This guy and his sister, same problem,” the netizen asserted.
