The heart of Nollywood, Genevieve Nnaji is back and looking chummy. The famous Nigerian-based actress went off the big screen scene in 2022, leaving her 8.4 million Instagram followers in the dark.

However, the good news is that the talented screen goddess is back on the radar to give fans what they’ve been craving for over the past few months.

Last weekend, Genevieve was spotted at the Toronto International Film Festival, where she premiered her latest movie titled, “I Do Not Come to You By Chance’.

The recently released movie is an outstanding feature in the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival’s 2023 Centrepiece programme.

The movie was co-produced by Chinny Carter and Chioma Onyenwe, with a compelling script masterminded by the talented duo, Chika Anadu and Ishaya Bako.

‘The Lion Heart’ star has also returned to social media, sharing a heartwarming new selfie photo with her followers.

It was a welcoming development among her colleague actors who quickly took to the comment section of her recent post to express their excitement over her return.

Leading the pack during their celebration was fellow Nollywood movie star Ini Edo, who wrote “Hey honey”, while other known Nollywood actresses like Mercy Eke called her “The Queen.”

Uche Jombo also described Genevieve as “Asa bekeee (beautiful woman)”, with Rachael Okonkwo calling her “My Ijele’ , while Annie Dibia called her “A queen and More.”

Nigerian-based female musician Waje wrote, ‘My queen’ adding “It’s so good to see you . Love you always.” while Mary Igwe wrote, “ The most beautiful, welcome back my Queen.”

Other top-class Nigerian celebrities who celebrated the ageless Nollywood actress include, Iyabo Ojo, Stella Damasus, Funke Akindele, Destiny Etiko among others.

Genevieve sudden appearance at the festival after almost a year of hiatus has put to rest concerns about her mental health that dominated discourse on social media last year.

The Nigerian actress raised concerns days after her birthday in May 2022, when she deleted all her Instagram posts and unfollowed everyone on the social media platform.

Since then, fans barely heard from the actress and it was rumoured later that she had relocated to the United States of America.
