Argentine starplayer, Lionel Messi has taken a swipe at his former football club, Paris Saint-Germain, with claims the French club failed to give him tge needed recognition after he returned from winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina.

Messi left the Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window to move to participate in the MLS, where he now plays for Inter Miami. The salient Argentine attacker played for the French League 1 club from 2021 to 2023.
Currently recovering from an injury that compelled him to leave the pitch before the first forty-five minutes in Inter Miami’s last match, the former Barcelona striker sat down for an interview with a Spanish livestreaming YouTube channel, where he spoke about his stint with PSG, most especially after he helped Argentine defeat France in the 2022 World Cup final.
“I was the only player on the entire Argentine team that his club didn’t recognise. But that’s okay,” Messi stated in an exclusive interview with OLGA en Vivo
“But it is also understandable that I was in the country against which we had won the final and prevented them from winning the World Cup again. The truth is, I had a nice relationship with him (France star Kylian Mbappe) and with everyone else there.” he added.
Prior to his departure from the French League 1 club, there were terse moments when fans of the football club booed him and cheered his teammate Mbappe.
“I always say things happen for a reason,It wasn’t always good, but I won the World Cup while there” he further stated.
