We Needed Someone To Get Us Goals, And Mohammed Kudus Did – West Ham Manager David Moyes

Manager of the West Ham United footballl club, David Moyes, has commended Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus for his sterling goal-scoring performance on his full West Ham debut last Thursday.

Moyes said the Hammers needed a player who could give them goals, which the Ghanaian midfielder delivered in the 3-1 win over Backa Topola in the Europa League.

The 23-year-old former Ajax midfielder played in the full game for the first time since joining the English Premier League club in the summer from Ajax.

“I thought Mo started the game really well and the team was playing well in the opening 20 minutes. He faded away, but in the end, he came up with one and maybe two goals, I’m being told, so I’m really, really pleased for him,” David Moyes said after the Europa League encounter.

“He’s made a good start, we like him a lot and we’ll edge him in when we get the opportunities in the right moments to do so. I’m pleased because we needed someone to come up with goals tonight and he was the one who did it” he added.

Before this recent game, Mohammed Kudus had already made two appearances from the bench for West Ham against Luton and Manchester City.
