You Can Pray Till Eternity For Prosperity, You Won’t Taste It If You Are Not A Cheerful Giver – Bishop David Oyedepo Reveals

The General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo has admonished believers to do everything possible to understand and practice the law of giving, if they really desire prosperity in their lives.

In a recent sermon he titled, “Understanding The Ministry Of The Holy Spirit”, the man of God said, as a believer, you can pray from now till eternity for prosperity, but you won’t taste it if you are not a giver.

If you are not a delightsome giver, an honourable giver, not a leftover giver, you can’t receive it. 41 years back, I have never lacked, I have never begged, I have never stolen. You better understand the covenant. The tables of the Covenant are by the revelation of the Holy Ghost” he said.

“Some young folks who are saying around town that you don’t need to pay tithe, they have never seen it. They are under stress, they have never seen it. When I was earning #140, I didn’t beg. #300, I didn’t beg and I didn’t borrow. I have never kept your church money in my house in my life so I can’t be tempted to touch it” the man of God added.

“The tables of the covenant are for our decoration when you lay hold of it and you touch it. It is not about grammar, it is about proofs. When God revealed to me what to do to grow a church, we have been doing it since 1984. Four cogent secrets of church growth. They are open secrets, every kingdom secret is an open secret. It is not a cult. Until it is given to you, even when they tell you, you won’t understand it. So we need Him to understand the things of the Spirit” he further disclosed.
